I owned this rifle for a short period of time. When I received the factory letter I decided to sell it to someone that was a collector and not a shooter like me.
It's good to see the rifle again. Really neat that the factory letter shows it went back to the factory and had so much done to it.
I over doubled my money when I sold it to the consignee. Hopefully he can double his after 12 years.
That's a nice rifle....very nice........there's a guy here who just had a birthday (Cimmeron Red) who has a near exact rifle like that but it's in 30-30.
My guess is that Jack the Dog will get $7500 for that. I had a 25-35 like that except it was not a deluxe but the gun was like new and I got 5 big ones for it.....15 years ago. Mine even had a trapdoor buttplate.-----00

Wow. That is really nice. I have to admit, I'd of had a tough time letting that go.
Even for a big profit.
I've always looked upon my stuff as "things". I rarely get emotionally attached to them. I find myself getting more pragmatic the older I get.
I'm probably just the opposite about getting attached to old guns! Those neat guns I've parted with still bother me, and I regret having sold some of them. But then I'm that way about a lot of old stuff, and explains why my gun room looks more like a hoarder's room than a place to store guns, and reload.

I'm that way too with most things. My guns not so much. I have 3 grown sons that are all into guns. I always ask if they could replace something before I sell it.
Some of my justification for buying another Colt SAA a couple weeks ago.
"Oh bother", said Pooh, as he chambered another round.
It would be hard to let that 94 go!
Money talks, but will you ever see one that nice again!
Prices on old classic's these day's are pretty outrageous!

Most collector guns are up right now, but there's always flukes like this where the right two guys didn't see this gun and bid it up. Somebody got a good deal on it!
