Marlin XLR with cast bullets

Post by El Chivo »

Has anybody been shooting cast bullets in their XLR?

I've been thinking about the 35 Rem XLR as a silhouette gun, mostly because of the 24" barrel is my favorite length for reasons of sight radius. And it has Ballard rifling.

How are the cast bullets working for you?

Anyone hear of any plans for Marlin to put out the XLR's in blue/walnut?

friend of mine uses one of these in 45/70 for silh
shooting with cast and a tang sight.
one in 35 rem with about 180 gr bullets would be real nice for this.
wouldn't be too shabby for hunting with either
