Interesting 3-D printed kit. Can't help but wonder about longevity. In the US I'd be a bit shy about using it for 12 bore, but in 10 gauge or 410 or 16 bore (harder sizes to find, more expensive to obtain) I can see a real attraction. I'm holding out for full brass 410 shells to become available again, that'd do me for no more than the old Boito gets used up there.

Ballistic Products has been out of stock for .410 brass since last fall. I see now the orices have gone up from $24.99 to $33.9 for all brass shells.
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

Yep, I was looking all over the place before heading north earlier this year - zero, nada, zilch on the 410 brass. Turned out not having time to load any anyway, much less get them out to shoot. The little Boito just sat there looking sadly at my busy butt, giving me the old hound dog wanting to hit the woods stare. Maybe next year.

I have an old side by side 2o gauge Boito. It has always worked well.

I have an old side by side 2o gauge Boito. It has always worked well.

Years ago when president Fernando Collor de Mello froze prices in Brazil, the local gun store had a 12 bore Boito over under. I'd stop by and ogle the goods in the rack, but funds were tight to say the least. One month that shotgun was equal to $75 US dollars and we could just about shoehorn the acquisition into the budget. Then one of our sons got sick and there went that opportunity. The ones I've used have all been very serviceable. I learned to reload full brass shells for a Boito singleshot 32 gauge that my dad let a fellow put on his license for use while developing his land. He'd head up to Alaska to work and make money to come down and invest in his place. While he was up north I got custody of the Boito. When he had to sell his place he passed it on to someone else as I was up north studying.

Sometimes it just doesn't work out.

By the way, did you shoot the .327 while you were up in the States?

Not much. Had my grandson along for the trip where I actually got to shoot and doing my best to give him a good first experience of being away from his mom and sister so shooting of my own was relatively limited. While I was loading up ammo for it my brother's basement got flooded. Good thing I was down there as I heard the water and was able to start moving things upstairs, plus gave him a call so as to know what he wanted me to do before he could arrive. That cut into my loading time, to say the least. Did get some ammo put by, but only shot up the "culls" (managed to ding some case mouths somehow) which was about one cylinder full. I bought the pistol for my wife as we had to leave her 32 behind when we left Brazil, so the ammo's waiting for when we head north again (hopefully next year). It'll make a good 35th Anniversary gift as it's a Shootists 35th Anniversary special edition.
