.
I have a Bushnell Holosight that I accidentally opened up (thought one of the screws was windage and it actually opened into the body of the scope). Don't want to get condensation in there, and I know that I put the screw right back in but would like to see if I can purge it with dry nitrogen.
Nitrogen is available in tank form of course, and I do have a huge can of gun-safe dessicant.
So...... anyone ever nitrogen purge an optic before....? I may chicken out and just use the thing and see if it fogs, but I decided against sending it to Bushnell after reading people's experiences with it taking months and whatever.
Anyone ever nitrogen-purge an optic...?

Did the optic have nitrogen in it before?, If not, maybe see what happens, you can then purge it if you want...

There seems to be a plethora of advice on Google. Lots of talk about vacuum pumps, and such.
