Haven't posted here for a long while. I'm into guns/shooting and got tired of politics so I gave up on most forums. Just retired so now lots of time to reload and shoot
I got lots of 348Winchester brass and bullets back in the day for fear they might stop making the stuff. So now it's time to get busy!
My question of the day. Does anybody use a neck sizer die only when reloading for their71. Tips? Experiences? I know the brass needs to be segregated and kept with the rifle it was fired in.Most of my shooting is with my "shooter 71"
and a Browning 71 carbine with a Fastfire II sight.

I would be most interested in details of your cast boo lit loads? load description, bullet weights, primer/ details, etc.I am fully responsible for my safety and results of any advice you give me that I choose to use
I have some (2,000) 255 GC commercial cast boolits and 7 348 bullet molds
I've accumulated. Thanks!
Just noticed, looks like we joined within 1 week of each other in 2007! Time flies.
Both of us joined on a Sunday, hmmmmm. after church/before football, or???????
Thanks for the reply!Double thanks in fact. I've never tried any Accurate 5744, looked it up and am going to gt see and give it a try. Looks like it would be good for cast bolts in 4570 too. I learned something today. A day not wasted.
Big bear, Jack turned me on to 5744 several years ago and in my opinion... you will have a hard time finding a better cast powder. I still use Unique but I find a decent load every time I experiment with 5744. My current project is a 520 grain cast HP in a 50-110 with it. Good luck with your experiments with the 348 and let me know what you find as that is another caliber I need a cast load for.
a Pennsylvanian who has been accused of clinging to my religion and my guns......Good assessment skills.
I've never had any problems with brass, or reloading, or reusing brass that has been shot.
Mine is one made in the 50's. I've never heard anyone say that about 348 brass.
Have you seen evidence of it ?
