Gun show
Yesterday I went to a gun show by my daughters house. Haven't been to one for a couple of years and was surprised at the entry fee of ten bucks. I was happy to see the amount of guns at it and most were non AR's. Lots of Smith & Wessons and wood stock rifles. I was expecting higher prices on the guns with the current market as it is. The ammo was way high like I thought it would be. I found a Winchester 9422 that I would have bought for the grand kids if I had the cash on me. It was $950 I think and that's about the going price for one in good condition around here before the pandemic craze. I did pick up a S&W model 60 while I was there for the wife. I may have to go to another one and see if I can find a 22 for the grand kids to shoot.

Re: Gun show
No gun shows since the Chinese virus hit in the UK $950 for a 9422 wow, the one I have now is a early one but was pretty beat up when I got it but I won't be selling it even at that price..
Whatever you do always give 100%........... unless you are donating blood.
Re: Gun show
GK I've seen nice ones with the original box have $1200 price tags.
Re: Gun show
I should have bought 10 Winchester's 9422 when they were going for $450.00!

$950? Whew, I'm waaaaayyyy out of touch.....
Was talking to one of two friends I have last night and we were yapping about the old days when we used to turn our noses up at like new '94 carbines made from the thirties to '64 at $2-300. Wasn't that long ago either..nineties

Re: Gun show
I was lucky enough to find a 2001 made Winchester 9422 unfired 100% condition for $725.00. I was stupid enough a few years ago and traded away a 1980 Marlin 39. This lever action 22 will stay with me until they plant me in the ground!
Re: Gun show
I bought one of the last 9422M that was made. <500.....Later I found a 9422, one of the first ones made...for the same price.
They are not as quite as accurate as my 39A, and Mountie, but they have never jammed. The Marlins have gone down the road and the two 9422s will stay forever.

Re: Gun show
I'm hoping we can restart gun shows here by summer! But the word I hear is maybe by July, but that's not even a solid date. Our shows run $9 for commercial gun shows and $8-$9 parking, but they're horrible. Our collector gun show is still $3, and free parking.
I haven't been to one of the commercial gun shows around here in over a decade.

Re: Gun show
my first one was new and cost 180$, the next was 200$ and it went on up from there !
the most I have paid , and it was a bargain at the price, was a 9417 in 17 HMR and that cost about 800 with shiping etc but the 9417s mostly sell for close to 2 grand.
it all seems crazy !
but they are great little guns.

Re: Gun show
I think that $900 plus for a rimfire is outrageous but Winchester aint makin any more. I paid $400 for a Marlin 39 mountie with a busted butt stock seven or eight years ago and thought that was high. But Marlin wasn't making 39 mounties any longer either and I wanted one. When something is no longer being made the price usually sky rockets.
