Met another member today.

Post by piller »

Three legged turtle, Todd, was in my area today. We met up and I bought some ammo, bullets, and brass. Next we went to Waxahachie for a good meal of Mexican food. I enjoyed talking with him. We really do have some great people on here.

Cool beans. Good for you!

Amen to that.

I've only met JReed and Ysabel Kid in person, but I'm not done yet (I hope). And I've also had the pleasure of PM'ing with many or talking by phone with some others (Pitchy, and Nath once many years ago when I was in England), and gamekeeper (John across the pond) and I have exchanged packages a few times (no guns though...).

"When all this cr*p is over", I might have to plan a "meet & greet -- and spend money" event at the Kittery Trading Post (Maine), with dinner at Bob's Clam Shack next door for those from CT, VT, MA, NH or ME.

I once bumped into Perry Owens at Bisley and also had a great visit from Kirk and his wife when they came over from Canada, I arranged for Kirk to do a little fishing which worked out well. Would love to meet more dedicated levergunners but the pond is wide and deep, maybe one day....

Never met Todd, but conversed with him via Leverguns and yes he is a great guy.

There are several members that live close to me, and maybe I've met them, shooters seem to frequent similar places, but not sure, maybe some day.

Hey No 7,
Would you consider Levergunners from the Ocean State in the future Kittery Trading Post meet up? You forgot Rhode Island in your list of state! We are small but we've got better gun laws than CT or MA...
I'd consider a drive up to browse guns and engage in conversation about guns over some clams.

If I lived closer, I would go. I have met several of the members on here, and every one was worth meeting.

Yep Todd has been at our place several times and he is a great guy , he has traveled far and has great knowledge about many things.
Also have met Kirk in person on a visit here, his spiritual knowledge has helped me more than i can say.

Met Todd here in Alamogordo and helped him on his way by taking him up the hill to Ruidoso. Any man who is willing to make epic trips by bicycle the way Todd does has my full respect and then some as it is not an easy way to travel. Plus he's a great guy and so knowledgeable about firearms. We had a wonderful visit. Stay safe Todd!

Darryl, it would be fun to meet up, we could go on a pub crawl and then find a couple of Spitfires, I haven't got a pilot's license but after a pub crawl flying would be a piece of cake..

I've been lucky enough to meet several of our peers here. Never had a bad experience (which doesn't surprise me at all :D ), and looking forward to meeting a lot more of us when this darn pandemic is over!

One of the good things about a warm climate is that the Women tend to dress in fitting clothes instead of heavy coats and things like that. We have some here who are as overweight as the guys like me, but quite a few are trim and nice to look at.

You're welcome anytime....If you can manage a couple days, I'll scrap out a path to the second bedroom, and you can have a grand tour of what I like about Washington.
