It's your thread, post what you darn well like.....
Yeah. We got a bunch of wet, heavy snow. It stuck all over the trees and bent em over. Then we had high winds.
That is very true, my friend.
While the wife and I haven't traveled extensively, we were quite taken with South Dakota, Wyoming, and of course, Alaska. We could most likely live in these places, but we do love Maine, and we are just old to make a big move.Old Savage wrote: ↑Thu Dec 31, 2020 4:22 am Have had good visits up through all the states but living there would be different. Iowa and NE PA both had there times also. But, that was only for colleges, not daily work.
Wow man! I'd never heard of such a thing. I had to look it up. Guess I'll have to check in on that boy.
Oh goody. I absolutely hate winters like this. I'd rather it 10 below and 12 feet of snow than this.
This is the entrance of the trail I cut in September. You'd never even know it was ever there.Old Savage wrote: ↑Fri Jan 01, 2021 11:00 am Those blow downs are a mess. When is the last time you started a year without snow?
Haha yeah. I will admit, a good sense of direction......or a good compass, is of high value. Walking a straight line is impossible.Old Savage wrote: ↑Fri Jan 01, 2021 11:58 am I recall how thick the Maine woods are. Told someone recently, you walk 50 feet in, turn around three times you might not know where you are.
This is why I like winter in Texas... I'm going to a cowboy shoot today, supposed to get 65ºF here..
