Henry updated product line with side gate offering in all finishes
Pretty neat news, thought I'd share if you didn't get the email this morning. I've been waiting on them to offer the 45/70 Steel finish. Hopefully will get my hands on one shortly.

I just want the 327 Fed Henry I just got to shoot decent groups, with or without a side loading-gate.
Glad they are adding the side gate though, because it will likely increase their sales, and it is a good company. It adds some fragility/complexity, but there are drawbacks to the 'tube-loading' alternative too. I have a couple Rossi's that have BOTH loading systems, which I kind of like. Given a choice of 'only' one or the other, I honestly think I'd select the tube loader, just because it is faster to load a full magazine, and WAY faster and easier to unload one. However, the 'tactical' advantage the side-gate offers of 'topping-off' while the gun is still in battery and shootable IS kind of cool.

They sure look traditional with the side gate and still have the option of tube loading, best of both worlds, I hope they sell well...

Doc, hope you get it figured out. Could it be an issue with the muzzle or the barrel band?

Dunno. When I get some time I want to fiddle with it for sure.
