WOOHOO! A Day Off

After running for a solid week, covering 3,857 miles, I'm taking tomorrow off! I'm gonna sit in Oklahoma City with the TV on, tuned to anything but the news and do nearly NOT A THING! Tuesday morning I have to be in Duncan, OK to deliver a bunch of t-shirts, then go home to put the Rose in the shop! I heard a noise in the front suspension last week and had it checked out. Need new bushings for the front king pins and shackle bearings for the front springs. Since the bearings are harder than the pins they turn on, the pins develop a wear spot and as you turn, the bearings "snap" outta the groove they wear. This'll be the 3rd set of kingpins, but only the 2nd set of shackles and pins. The repair will equal about 3 months of truck payments and should be good for at 5 years! And folks wonder why I don't wanna buy a new(er) truck!!!

Don't know anything about it. Probably have to... as I don't think there'll be any fuel available . I don't think the oil worker's will take kindly to the plan to turn off the oil There's a LOT of people employed by the oil/gas industry. I think we're in for really bad times... Welcome to the 3rd World!
