UPDATE FROM PACO'S DAUGHTER JENNIFER 10/27/2020

Hello Friends,

My continued thanks for all of the support I have received from all of you.

This week I have made great progress in physical therapy in both my upper and lower body; my core strength is improving greatly. I can now sit well on my own without assistance. My legs are getting very strong and can support my weight for standing and taking a few steps in walking. Today I was hooked up to a machine that offsets some of my weigh and allows me to walk more easily. I walked 500 feet caring half of my body weight. I can’t express how amazing it felt to take a few walking steps forward! Here is a picture of me walking today.

I will be leaving here from North Memorial Rehab, on to Courage Kenny Rehab Center in Golden Valley on Friday the 30th. Courage Kenny is a premiere rehab facility for patients with spinal cord injuries, they have a specialized team that focuses solely on those patients. This facility will be another key factor to meeting my goals of walking by Christmas, and my successful and holistic recovery. It is estimated I will be there for 1 to 3 months.

Thank you again to the staff providing care at North Memorial Hospital Rehab Unit and all the prayers and well wishes from you all.
