I'm sure many of you are familiar with John and his revolver work, I'm sad to say he has passed.
I am proud to say I knew John, he and I were in gunsmith school together. We even did a project together, my Ruger Single Six 44 special.
I'm sad to say I hadn't spoken with him in about 10 years...
God speed my friend!

Re: John Gallagher
I have pictures of one of his early guns that didnt care well, cylinder blew up, top strap broke, we never found all the parts- at the school test fire chamber ! The cartridge he was developing was a 348 cut down to inch and a1/2 and loaded with a .458 bullet of 300+ gr and obviously the wrong powder!
