Would anyone have quickload and be interested in letting me know what muzzle pressures the following gets
7 grains CFE pistol behind any 125 jacketed bullet in a 357 magnum carbine 20" barrel and also a 24" barrel?
According to hodgon CFE pistol seems to be a good 'less than maximum" option in 357.

Re: quickload pressure estimates
Would if I could but my version of QL doesn't have CFE pistol powder in its data base.

Re: quickload pressure estimates
My version of QuickLOAD is V3.9.
It lists Hodgdon CFE223 in its database.
Using your "load", the 20" barrel has a muzzle pressure of 12Bar/176psi, and the 24" barrel 10Bar/146psi, with selected bullet Sierra JHP 8125.
Is that something like you are looking for?
Seems to indicate a fairly "tired" load.
edit: - additional info'
FWIW, I entered a charge of 20.0gn which is 100% load density.
20" barrel, 55Bar muzzle, 1276fps
24" barrel, 66Bar, 1234fps
Not particularly "lively" loads.

Thanks old AG. CFE223 is actually a different powder and much slower than CFE pistol. Idea of CFE pistol in 357 is it makes an economical sub-maximum powder combination. Hodgon lists 7-8 grain loads to 1480fps with 125 grain, which means 1600fps or more from a carbine. Thats at moderate pressure too, 32k psi. Decent small game power and almost 1000 reloads per can of powder.
