Tang sight on Chiappa 1892 - Screw Specs and Spacing

Hi folks,

I'm looking to put a tang sight on my Chiappa Alaskan

Asked Marbles and Lyman which sight and screw set I needed and got told "Don't know"

So, here is the reply I got from Chiappa.



If I can get them to give me the length of the screws as well, I shall post that.

Likely standard to match the original Winchester 1892 and other Win. leverguns.

Just measure the one you have in there and add about 3/16" or more...you can always cut it down......I make my own all the time keeping a 12-28 die to do the work.----6

I wound up using a blackened-finish Allen-head screw I got at Ace Hardware. Just added 3/16 or so. Was going to re-contour the head but never bothered.

Found out the screw lengths are:

Item no. 731.122 -45.5 mm Longer
Item no. 730.471 -40.5 mm Standard / stock
Item no. 730.475 -6.4mm front screw
