Hoppes is too valuable, and tough to replace these days. I'd rather use some cheap Black Velvet, or other cheap whisky to wash my hands!

Yea..but you need the OLD Hoppes before the formula was changed.....this new stuff...(25 years or so) is just not the same..I still have a quart of the old stuff and that stuff is the best. ---6

Sadly, most hard liquor is only 80 - 100 proof; 40 - 50% alcohol which is below the 60% alcohol level needed to kill all the pesky stuff. So, those of us with Ronrico or Bacardi 151 rum are sitting pretty. Those moonshiners with the 180 proof shine are really sitting pretty right now too.
