A picture for our troops
My wife and I were blessed with four sons - all are now grown. Number 3 joined the Army after high school and went to Iraq; he was badly injured in an EFP blast in February but is doing much better these days. I posted that info on this website shortly after the incident but have not recently made any updates.
Unfortunately, his best friend was killed the previous August in a similar attack. Yesterday, we went to Ft Hood for the Fallen Warriors tribute to honor his battle buddy. There are 469 names on the wall. I have not seen the Vietnam memorial up close but I assume the effect is similar. People will come to this memorial for many years to come and read the names. Whatever you do - never forget our military...

The English had a song on WWII. "Bless Them All" While irreverant, it was a tribute to their fighting men. Here's a UTube link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXsG2HlC5RI
It is a fitting tribute to all of the young men and women who have ever served our natiion, as well.
God Bless your son and all those who serve.

Sir,
Please thank your son for me for his service and sacrifice for my freedom. My youngest separated from the Marines in Feb after serving one tour in Iraq and one tour in A-stan.
God Bless our heroes of the war on terror...

Thank you sir!!!!
Please thank your son for his service and let him know many of us pray for a fast and full recovery for all those who have been wounded. We also pray each night for those that have fallen - and we will never forget them.
I was a young boy during the Vietnam war, but I remember it well. Every time I go to the memorial in DC I get choked up. Same with Arlington. How could any patriotic American not be moved by those tributes to our finest?

Give him our best.
Hope he and his friends enjoyed the cards.

Republic. I like the sound of the word. It means people can live free, go or come, buy or sell, be drunk or sober, however they choose. Some words give you a feeling. Republic is one of those words that makes me tight in the throat . . . . Some words can give you a feeling that makes your heart warm. Republic is one of those words.
