O.T.-California hog hunting guides

Post by lever-4-life »

Do any of you guys know any good guides or trespass ranches? I am tired of the public land hunting and am ready to get a guide

Thanks, Derek

Hey Lever...funny you should ask...I just sent off an email to a guide service I use over near Clear Lake for pig hunting. D & E Guide Service takes hunters out to the Guenoc Ranch south of Clear Lake. I bagged a nice fat sow last fall and I'm getting ready to go out for another one in the next month or so. The head honcho is Ernie Sanders...nice guy and a good guide. Expect a lot of spot and stalk in the morning. When it warms up in the afternoon, he'll use his dogs to flush 'em out of the brush. Here's his website. Give him a call or shoot him an email. Good luck.

Another place that seems to have a good reputation is further north near Red Bluff, called Red Bank Ranch. That might be another option for you.

CA F&G will furnish a list of all CA licensed guides, if you ask.

From stats in dfg booklets Monteray Co. has the best success rate.
There are a few ranch hunts, guided and semi guided in the Paso Robles
area including Camp 5 Outfitters.Maybe a little too far south but
Tejon Ranch is hard to beat.
What in the wild world of sports is going on here
