Can any of you guys identify this sight?
I tracked down a rear sight for my '95 SRC, for an arm and a leg but I finally got one.
I picked this up cheap along the way. Too short for the '95 and not a '92. Same kinda style as the '95 sight, just smaller. It was only $20 but curious what it might be for.

Is it possibly off of some version of the Trapdoor Springfield?

I think it's too small for any of the Springfield's. My dad has a Trapdoor SRC and he was going to check, but thought it was too small.

I dont believe its a trapdoor sight. You can look up parts for them, they varied over time, but none looked quite like that. The side ramps dont look the same for starters, and the other parts arent exact either.

Nope, The Krag and '03 sights are much larger. It was actually in a box with several Krag sights. That's what caught my attention since it was much smaller.

I'm stumped, Jason. But I am about positive it is a military sight due to its robust construction and the elevation being adjustable to 800 yards. Could it be from one of the military rolling blocks?

How big is the radius on the bottom?- maybe a muzzle loader sight? Like off a very large bore front stuffer.

The sight on my roller is much longer but it's the Danish version. I think it's for a carbine. Maybe even the Krag.

.
IMO, it looks like a variation of a rear sight for an 1873 Springfield trapdoor
