That is a nice rifle! The 38-55 is my favourite Model 94 caliber. Thanks for posting.

Very nice.

Winchester rifles that have 1/2 octagon barrels with full magazines are a fairly rare configuration. You have a fine rifle.

Cody lists a s/n of 85741 manf. 4-24-1900 so yours should be in 1900. Thats a nice rifle so acquire the letter. I have two like yours in 25-35 and 30WCF and a deluxe with all the bells and whistles on it in 25-35 but mine were manf later and Cody has no records. I hope to get my new computor so I will be able post some pics.

Yep!! that is one sweet lookin deal there.
I have one in 30-30, and one in 25-35.
But now thanks to you brother knuckle heads in this great
forum, :wink: now I need one in 38-55. :shock:
Seems I no sooner whittle one out of the collection I’m
adding one or two more. :?
