Traveling ... plus an unashamed endorsement ..

Post by JimT »

I am in Colorado, visiting my longtime friend Tedd Adamovich. Tedd is Blu Magnum Grips and has been making grips for going on 40 years. Tedd was trained by Deacon Deason of Bear Hug Grips many years ago. At his house we have this off the front porch.

It's kinda rough staying in a place like this.
We ended up putting a set of Tedd's grips on the .357 I got from Paco. This was the gun that had the 3 jacketed bullets stuck in the barrel and that I rebarreled. It turned out pretty nice.

Tedd's website is: https://www.blu-magnum.com/
Give it a visit if you are looking for custom grips.

That front porch view is quite relaxing. That pistol looks good with those grips.

Kind of looks like the Walsenburg area, looking East towards Kansas

Having grown up where we once had over 365 straight days in which the wind speed never dropped below 15 mph, I got used to the wind. That was 1983. One of the State Highways between Meade and Dodge would close when the wind speed got over 55 miles per hour. At 70 mph the tractor trailer rigs had to stop or risk being blown on their sides, especially at risk if empty. Yes, SouthWest Kansas is windy, and it can drive you crazy from the constant noise of the wind.

On a positive note the wind probably blows the skeeters away. :)

Above 10 mph, it does. That is one of the few things I miss.
