First reports from Mozambique .. thank you for your prayers!

Post by JimT »

I received some reports from Mozambique this morning. It appears so far that damage was much less than predicted. This is only from a few reports so that could possibly change.

I asked my friend Adele to check on Mama Twyla's Computer Center ...
Hi Papa Jim
I will, but miraculously, there appears to be very little damage on the base and just some roofs blown off and some bamboo walls down in the village.
Thankfully no loss of life or even injury recorded so far in the village. Will ask Evelyn about MTCC and get back to you.
blessings
Adele

I asked Martinho, the Director of the Mieze and Noviane bases about the Mieze Center and his family ...
We are ok in Jesus name, including all children and our staff in both centers.
Thank you so much for your prayers.
Thank you

And I had contacted John and MaryLou Lepp who live on the beach in Pemba ....
Hi Jim. Thanks for your prayers. We are fine and have not suffered any serious damage. Rain and wind has been less than predicted here so all is well. Don’t know about the rest of the country yet as we’ve not had any news from outside. One friend had heard a bit from Ibo where it made landfall and they said it was really bad but I don’t have any details.
John

Thank you for your prayers. Please continue to lift Mozambique and the work there. I am sure there is going to be a lot of things that will need to be done ... the relief effort will be needed for food, water, medicine etc. The continuing rain is a serious problem. And there are most likely many of the Mozambican homes destroyed so people will need shelter etc.

I have inquiry's sent to others who live there and will share what I hear when I receive them.

I'm glad the news isn't as bad as first feared, still the folks out there will require help and prayers.
Whatever you do always give 100%........... unless you are donating blood.

Yessir. I just received a report of one dead in Pemba. A coconut tree fell on a woman and killed her. There will most likely be others, but thankfully it is not as bad as the one that hit Beira last month.
