Something interesting from europe
resurrecting these old designs by alfa proj revolving rifles..

Despite it looking sort of funny I sort of like it, dont judge me. One thing I was wondering even in 22LR is reckon it'd be noisey? The barrels are 20" but that cylinder is pretty close to the face.... How much noise escapes the cylinder gap?

I agree about not wanting my face up close to that cylinder gap.
Not sure what they meant about removing part of the under-barrel 'pipe' with a hacksaw.
Found this lower down on the web page...

357 Magnum? I think I would be wearing a leather sleeve and glove on my off hand/arm...

Cylinder open left on most DA revolvers. Why nut a graceful flash guard in the right. That would take care of 80% of you. Guys like me would still be out of luck.

I think Taurus/Rossi already beat them in the race for a fully impractical rifle:

BTW, what the heck is an "assault bullet". I don't want to use one -- too dangerous. I'll just stick to the ones commonly used to hunt coyotes...

Not to long ago, someone had put up a link to a gunsmith that did carbine conversions on revolvers. Hoping he may stop by again with this thread, it was pretty cool stuff and I still want a .327 Federal rifle.

Re: Something interesting from europe
I always wanted a practical functioning revolving rifle. Right now i make do with an uberti 1858 percussion carbine. You don't dare place your weak hand in front of the cylinder on this one.
Years ago I had a ruger blackhawk at dave clements for a job and he agreed to put a 17" barrel on it if I would design and fit the buttstock myself but at the last minute , unsure of the legal status of such an excrescence, he did not want his brand associated with it.
I think the place mentioned before is fairfaxfirearmsrepair.com

That would be cool to see Dan Wesson resurrect their pistol pac with these and 3" and 5" and carbine length barrels.

The things to be done so that people can get around idiotic gun laws. OK, if someone wants one I will not even think about stopping them. I just think that the stupid anti-gun laws will only lead to more creative means to get around them. Good Grief.
