Thanks to the heads-up from TANGO 4C in his informative response to my posting about Martini Rifles at "The Battle of Bronkhorstspruit" (see the full posting down below), I found this "Weapons and Warfare" website (click for link) that he quoted from to be really informative and not a bad way to spend a lunch hour (OK, maybe 20 minutes...)

The search function works pretty well, as I looked up "Light Brigade", "Kings Mountain" and "Spitfire" or "Mustang" just to see what was on there. I didn't research any guns or cannons -- yet, that is... I can't say it's an encyclopedia-type site that's all-inclusive, but the articles I did see there were very well researched and written, with excellent images accompanying them.

Knowing there are many history buffs -- and firearms enthusiasts -- on this forum, I wanted to call attention to this website on its own posting. Goodluck, and enjoy! :wink:

Recently I have become interested in Japanese WW2 small arms and found this site very useful.
Whatever you do always give 100%........... unless you are donating blood.
