Gee, we have not had a "Let's See Your..." thread in quite awhile...
So...
Let's See Your... Case Hardening (or Coloring)
Let's also try to avoid the "case hardening" versus "case coloring" debate for this thread -- just show us what you got -- but please do identify the "maker and the method used", if known.
Get your drool rags ready, 'cause I know some of you guys have beauties that make mine pale in comparison.
OK, I'll start -- see below...

Love to, but it is pretty much worn off all my guns that had it. Sorry.

The only really great case colored receivers I have are those done recently. Most of my old originals have faded case colors, or none left.
This Schoyen Ballard was done by Keith Kilby at Ballard Rifle Co. in Cody:
Al Springer's work on my recent Creedmoor Rolling Block:
An original #4 Ballard I restored and Keith Kilby did color case on also:
An original 1894 Marlin deluxe rifle with remnants of original case:
An original Remington #1 1/2 with remnants of case color:
Original Ballard #3F Fine Gallery with remnants of case color:
Pope Ballard with very little case left:
Ballard #6 Schoyen oriignal case:
Ballard #4 Perfection original case colors:
#1 ROlling Block done by Al Springer:
Ballard #5 Pacific original case colors:
Ballard #8 factory engraved with a little case left. Marlin did faint colors on engraved guns so the engraving wouldn't be hidden by vivid colors:
#4 Rolling Block cased by Al Springer:
#6 1/2 Rigby Ballard with faded case colors:
Ballard custom by Schoyen, new colors by Al Springer:
Ballard #6 Schuetzen by Zettler Bros. original case colors:
Ballard #2 deluxe with Russ Gent case colors:
Ballard A.W. Peterson schuetzen colors by Russ Gent:

The drool warning was VERY APPROPRIATE for this post!
Now I need to figure out which of mine to post. Should be sunny tomorrow; maybe I can take a decent picture for once!
