Sorta OT- My Fiancee is putting money down on

Post by Jason_W »

Her first rifle this evening. While it's not a lever, It's pretty cool that I'm marrying a girl who wants to spend her own hard earned money on a rifle :D

She really likes the Savage model 14.

March. It was going to be in February, but we had a hard time finding an open venue (that we could afford) at that time of year.

March is an excellent month...

You need to get that girl the accessories of her dreams.
Sincerely,

Hobie

My girlfriend just told me about her desire to start her own gun collection. I already got her a small 20ga single shot but she wants to add a Makarov and a 4" Ruger MK II to the fold.

My wife brought 3 guns with her when we got married. It was part of the dowry.

March is a good time of year to get married - it is after hunting seasoning is mostly over and it is before the fishing gets really good...

We went and brought it home yesterday evening.

I'm not really a bolt action guy, but it's a really nice rifle. She's excited to try it out this weekend.

She picked up a box of Remington managed recoil ammo for it. That stuff sure isn't cheap. $32.50 a box :!: I'll have to learn to load some myself.

 Congrats Jason!!!!!
There are a few of us females that like guns and shooting too....I enjoyed showing Dwight mine when he first ventured down from up North...Heck, I never thought I might scare the feller off....Some men feel weird when he meets a woman that carries a gun..lol.... -MissKitty

She's absolutely chomping at the bit to try it out. :D

Unfortunately, work schedules are delaying things.

The gun shop we went to is really good and my favorite in this area. They talked to Claire and not me, which unfortunately is a rare quality of most of the gun shops I've been in.
