Rusty Jr. got married Oct. 13th to a beautiful young lady. She asked me to walk her down the isle which I was so honored to do.
They just got back from their honeymoon hunt tonight. Monday, on their first hunt together his wife spotted a young doe that had a yearling with her and pointed it out to Jr. They watched the group for about 20 minutes before Jr. got a safe shot and was able to harvest the doe. After the shot it went 2 feet... straight down. The Ruger 77 .270 did it's job. The wife can't shoot yet as she hasn't completed her hunter safety course yet. Next year she will be hunting on her own with her own brand new M77 .308 that I have for her unless she would rather have my #1.
I don't know how I can sleep being so proud.
My new daughter works with our next door neighbor that we've known for 30 years. She introduced them and I will be forever grateful.
