My BIL an I used to look for downed signs all the time and then swipe em.
These have been in this tree for about 35 years.

That maybe OK for some, but apples that have fallen on the ground cannot be legally sold in most jurisdictions - which can be catastrophic for the farmer(s).

(That pic was taken in Ireland, after hurricane Ophelia went through there.)
