Norma now laughing her butt off, yep use the JD loader to lift the logs onto the skid way.
Don`t know what rpm the motor is running but running about 500 rpm on the saw.
Thanks Jack.

Man! Could I use that! I had 4 live oak trees a coupla mesquite & Bois D'Arc cut down around my house & barn, now it's on to the cleanup... and I hate thinkin' about givin' all that lumber away.

No I ain't ready, but let's do it anyway!
Thanks Griff, i`d surely be happy to saw them but this saw blade just doesn`t cut oak worth a chit never has.
It`s a thin saw and it heats up in oak then the boards look like wedges or worse
Had the same blade since i got the mill and i`m to cheap to buy a better blade, heck i only paid 300 for the mill though it was one big pile of metal parts, Norma and i built and wooded the whole thing.
I think i`ve got my money out of it many times over, i really would like to get a nice band saw someday but the one i want runs around 7,000.

Looks as if it works pretty well to me. That is a fairly thin blade. How often do you need to sharpen it? It seems to cut well on that pine. You and Norma seem to have done that often enough that you each know exactly what the other is doing.

There are a few of those where i live. how hard are nails p0unded into tree on the saw blade?
Nails arn`t too bad it will usually knock the corner off a few teeth and need a resharpen , if lucky it will hit the nail in the gullet and cut it into with no damage.
Anything bigger and its a bad day, piller this is a insert type blade and usually sharpen it after sawing about twenty logs or so depending on the type wood and how dirty they are.
We don`t saw that often so only sharpen it a couple times a year.

WOW, glad to see it still working, used to work for my uncle during the summer when I was a kid using one of those. Then used a woodmiser on the farm when I was older to save the wood from downed trees.
