Shot Timers

Post by AJMD429 »

Although I don't plan on competitive pistol shooting, various shooting drills for practice require a shot timer.

I haven't found a cellphone 'app' [...besides they're programs to this old geezer... ] that I like, so was thinking about getting a shot timer.

Any recommendations...?

I don't need statistics or multiple memory channels or internet/Bluetooth hookup [...my electric toothbrush has that... ] - just the ability to:

a) time several shots, starting from the first 'bang', and
b) time shots after a delay, starting from a loud 'beep'.

Dillon had a very simple one years ago but like everything else nowadays it HAS to have all the bells & whistles so you might not find a basic one...

My shot timer is a basic PACT Timer III. Another I have used a lot, one of the first available, is the Competition Electronics Pocket Pro, which I like better than the PACT. The PACT timer was cheaper when I bought mine, but the Pocket Pro is even cheaper now sold thru Wal-Mart.
