Re: winchester 1897 pump shotgun
I have several original Winchester Model 1897 shotguns. One a Trench Gun 12 ga. Another is a standard 12 ga., but my favorite for pheasant, turkey and partridge is the 1897 16 ga. It's a great old gun, that is in absolutely fantastic shape - except that a previous owner used an electric engraver to put his driver's license number on the receiver. And, he was not a good judge of how much room he would need so the engraved numbers drop down as he wrote to fit it all in. Too bad, as the bluing is almost perfect except for that. Doesn't change how it shoots though.
