That bear sure acts like my Winnie! She lays on her back like that all the time. Funny as all heck when she is dreaming with all 4 legs goin! :D

I always wanted a pet bear, wouldn't have to worry about locking the doors!!

My rat terrier acts like that when we brush him. That is one happy bear.

Looks like the hind leg kick is an interspecies sign of contentment. Though I do worry. It's not uncommon for "pet" bears to suddenly decide the hand moving the brush might just taste good.

They sure can be vocal when they want to be loved up, can't they? Couldn't quite keep Phil Harris voicing "Baloo" from the "Jungle Book" out of my head ...

Once upon a time (in the early 1970's), I spoke with the owner of the Clark's Trading Post (N.H.), who, among many other amusements, has several daily black bear "shows in their arena.

He stated that he long ago caught & kept black bear cubs to keep for amusement as household pets - which stopped when they started tearing up the cabinets & furniture inside the house...………………………..

I've always said when I die I want to come back as one of my wife's cats. That bear would be jealous to see the way she dotes on them.
