Not far from here is Duke Estates, it is now a preserve and nature type center. There has been a mated pair of bald eagles there quite some time. Web cams have been set up on the eyre. Most of the time the nest cam makes the site crash cuz so many people are trying to watch.

I have seen eagles while fishing numerous times. Heck I even saw one on a road kill deer in the middle of an intersection during winter.

I think my favorite sighting was of a snowy owl many years ago. That was COOL!

The eagle has no idea what a camera is much less a "selfie" The camera is mounted high giving the bird a great view in it's search for food. Only some ignorant snowflake would assume the bird could even conceive of having its photo taken.

Heaven save us. They are among us, and they vote.

Is there any question as to why such a majestic bird was chosen to be our nation's symbol? Selfies, good grief. When will we stop with anthropomorphisizing? That eagle has no concept of pictures. As Jeepnik said, it was hunting. The place the camera was mounted was high enough to give the eagle a good view as well as allowing it to attack prey from above. Eagles are predators, as well as opportunistic feeders. They are really cool to watch.
