There is some good news every once in awhile. Congrats.
There's a story behind how that return check got generated, shame no one here will never know it.

As usual, Rusty has the right idea! I always try to write a "thank you/atta-boy" letter when anyone goes above and beyond. We have all worked somewhere at some point, and know that a good word with the boss never hurts!

This a great reason to use the Post Office when you can. There might be some complaints about the service sometimes, but this sort of service sure makes up for a huge amount of the other. It might not hurt to contact your Congressman and Senator with a short note praising the USPS.

It was my experience several years ago that USPS Postal Inspectors have no sense of humor whatsoever in dealing with scumbags such as this guy. Glad you got your money back.

Using the link they originally sent me with my complaint number; I did reply to tell them I received the check, and was very pleased with their response to the situation! Also asked if I might get details of how it went down, but haven't received a response yet. Might not, but at least they're aware I got my check and thankful.
