It's raining so it is an indoors day. Spending it in the shop, casting bullets and loading ammunition. I cast a bunch of the RCBS 250 KT .44 Semi-Wadcutter bullets... sized and lubed them. Loaded them in brand new unfired SHOOTISTS-headstamped brass. Winchester Large Pistol primers. 16.5 gr. 2400
They will be fired in John Taffin's honor (he just had a birthday). I will use my Shootists Anniversary USFA .44 Special. I promised John I will not shoot at anything closer than 200 yards.
Those are some beautiful bullets. How much are per hundred???? I know you don't cast to sell, but that is a fine bullet in one of my favorite calibers.

They run a little over 3 1/2 pounds per hundred. (Pounds weight, not pound sterling)
That looks as if you had a thoroughly enjoyable day. 200 yards with a handgun is pretty good shooting. I hope those bullets fly straight and true.

There is a fine line between hobby & obsession! AND... I'm over it!!
No I ain't ready, but let's do it anyway!
Jim, I am casting that bullet for my Bisley Flattop in .44 Special, but so far just using Universal. I guess I need to lay in a pound of 2400 for old times' sake.
There is not much left that I need to do that can't be done with that bullet at 1,000-1,100 fps.
