I made a plate of brussel sprouts with Mayonase and horse reddish, Angel hair pasta with some Garlic, onion, Mrs. Dash and parmesian cheese, Big junk of Moose sausage.

Bowl of oatmeal with stale raisins stirred in (they soften right up), and some cinnamon and the last drizzlings of our maple syrup (we missed most of the run this year). Sip of Jack Daniels to settle it in.

Oh and I had some schwans cheeseburger wantons. I forgot to get anything out of the freezer today.

Started by lubing the gullet with some 101p Wild Turkey. That put me in the mood to cook. Then I fried some elk steak, fried up some taters from last years garden and cooked up a quart of blue lake beans from last years garden. Finished up by mixing up a pan of biscuits and some elk gravy.
My GOSH that was good! I felt bad my wife was kept in meetings all evening after school and I had to eat most of it alone.
But I had a tough demanding lift in the weight room today and needed a good recovery meal
T-Bone steak from my own beef raised and fed on the ranch, part of a good homegrown spud, some green stuff (probably mexican import), and chased it all down with an Original Coors. Dessert: Original Coors.
Same here. But hey what else are you gonna have when you are at a school away from home.
The wife is on a diet and she had the last of something there wasn't enough of for both of us. To tell the truth I wasn't all that hungry but it was Korean ramen with kimchee...
Yeah, I'm buying the .35...

its a German dish...
You take a fairly thin steak and beat it with a tenderizing hammer..
then you take cooked bacon...and place it on the flatten steak...
add a dash of salt and pepper...and any other spice you like...
roll the meat up...stick a tooth pick in it to keep it rolled up...
Brown the meat in a skillet...
then put in a slow cooker for a hour or two with gravy....
Served it with german potato salad and garden salad
and a ice cold beer!

Night before last I ate Fish sticks and tator tots.
Not sure yet what I am having tonight. I made enough extra pasta, I think I am going to dump a can or chili on top of some pasta. Simple and minimal mess. I like chili on pasta!
I grilled some butter-flied porkchops over charcoal and pecan wood while mrs. rock-steady made some tater salad and a side dish of asparagus stewed in butter. Had a few malted barley & hops belly-washers while the meat was on the grill.
My meal can't compare with caribou, wild boar, whitetail, salmon, home-grown beef, elk, etc. (you guys are making me hungry!). But it was quick, easy and filling.
Just sauteed some smoked sausage, chicken, onions and celery in a 2-qt pot; threw in four cups of water, a can of black beans (drained) and a can of tomatoes and peppers; added a box of Zatarain's Red Beans and Rice, some cilantro, cracked pepper and Tabasco sauce, and let cook for 20 minutes. Wolfed it down with a couple YuengLings. Froze the rest for another time.

So far my venison supply is holding out. I still have a few roasts left, stew meat and some steaks.
I have 6# of moose burger left and will be making my Moose meat chili here next week. MMMMmmmmmm Gooooooood!
I know a guy that has a bunch of Elk and moose burger in his freezer that he can't eat it all before next season. (he pays for guided hunts!)
Anyway, he likes my Venison Sausage and trades me burger if I make him some sausages. I am hoping he wants more soon cause I got one sausage left and that last 6# of Moose.
If I get an Elk this year along with my two deer, I should be more than good for the entire year!
We had a silver salmon fillet that we caught in Valdez, along with some noodles. I made a campfire and grilled it over the coals to add a slightly smoky flavor. I kind of like it that way. I had the leftovers the next day when I got home from work. Grilled salmon is something that's even good cold.
Stir fry "spicy chicken" on white rice with kimchee. Diet pepsi. Anyone knows me knows I drink a lot of diet Pepsi. Yes, better dinner tonight than last.

My wife has been out ot town for schooling. Unfortunately timed with a slump in work so I have home for the last three days.
I treated myself to a new crockpot so's I would not have to do any extra washing of dishes.
Started with cubed chunk-0-moose, onions, taters and mixed veggies...
I kinda add to it as the days grow longer.
Will have to start over tomorrow and am pondering attempting a salmon shark roast in a cream sauce...with onions of course (aint like I gotta worry about having to kiss anyone)

Enchilada casserole and jalepenos stuffed with cream cheese, shredded cheese, and wrapped in bacon. Bake 'em at 400 for twenty minutes, and you have an excellent appetizer/side dish. I could eat my weight in those things!!

Sounds like some of you guys are ingesting a lot of lead.
I haven't eatcn yet (it's 1 am) but I just started the crock pot, I have some leftover soup that's barley based, has some carrots, bacon, maybe a few other things.
Hope it works out. If not, there's an open bag of potato chips.

i'm having a crawfish boil tonite..I got 50 pound of mudbugs,10 pound of potatoes and 10 pounds of corn on the cob..and a couple friends are bringing the beer..
Grilled Water Buffalo steak, potatoes baked on the grill, and hominy. Washed it down with windmill soda. (water to you city slickers)
Hobie, I tried that rotted cabbage and hot pepper stuff while stationed at Camp Greaves in Korea. Never could understand why the Koreans liked it. I preferred the Ke-gogi, it was actually pretty good, and the yakimandu was really good.

I did the pizza thing too, but I had excellent company. I invited my mom and dad over and we did a you-bake and drank cold beer (the boy had diet orange soda).
