Possible shooting near us

Last night in the early morning hours I heard a string of shots near by. Sadly that's all too common around here.
Just a few minutes ago my wife noticed three cop cars and an ambulance at the house a half a block from us. The cops are inside, people outside hugging a crying female, and the ambulance just left without taking anyone.
I'm half way waiting for the ME or CSI truck to show up.
Not of sure what's going on, but something's gone down.

Well, we still don't know what happened. Cops were there a long time. One of them even took a camera inside and I guess took pics. Later they put a man and a woman in the back of a squad car, but not cuffed. No CSI or ME vehicle ever showed up.

The house has been dark since so something happened. No mention on the local news either.

There is one thing about this neighborhood, it hasn't been boring.

I'm on the edge of The Sticks, so if I hear local PewPew it's more than likely the guy next property south shooting at the coyotes that are all over hades around here. That's not to say there are not drug problems and dealers around here, but the White Trash variety around here don't do gun battles. That's for Tacoma and them other ghetto cities.

My little city is still relatively quiet. I do have to drive into some parts of Dallas for the job where it is not uncommon to see bullet holes in the bricks of the buildings, and occasionally on the cars. Dallas is almost dangerously short of officers. They get hired away for about double the pay and a budget for protective equipment. Dallas has too many politicians like Maror Pro-Tem Dwain Carraway. He is the one whose wife tried to re-create the movie The Shining on him, and he went on TV and blamed it on two drunken friends who were horsing around. He came up with some first names, but couldn't come up with last names. The Police were told by the Mayor and Police Chief to drop the case. He is the same jerk who tried to get the NRA to give money to his re-election campaign or he would guarantee protests at the convention in May.

Biggest thing here is the drunk neighbor who hit another’ parked car. Stumbled a few blocks home. Cops had to wake him up to arrest him. No problem finding him, they just followed the blood. Airbags make a bloody mess out of a face

Joe, sorry to hear about your experience. My brother used to live in a part of Portland, Oregon, that was just eight blocks or so from a bad neighborhood. Every time I went to visit, we heard gunshots.
I couldn't have lived there for long.
