I respect all those who are on the wagon, or those who fell off and are getting back on, but for the rest of us -- here's some science backing up the claim that:
"Beer Is Good For You"
In moderation -- of course.
Just in time for the Superbowl!!!

Heard that on the radio yesterday and am drinking a beer in agreement.

I'll confess to drinking more lawn-mowing beer than is good for me. I wish I could enjoy it a pint at a time.
And Pete, my chili recipe specifies 12 ounces of Guinness Stout.
Myself I`m thankful for beer, can drink it all day and stay outta trouble, dern whiskey or rum gets me in trouble.

For me and my brother alkies, one beer is too much and 1,000 ain't enough. But yep, beer has a bunch of good stuff in it and my hat's off to those that can partake (my son-in-law actually had a six pack in his fridg for over a year, and then only had one! Nearly drove me crazy... ).
Before I got sober in '86, I used to "dream" about sitting in my overstuffed chair, in my den with a fire going in the fireplace, wearing my favorite Pendelton shirt, with my faithful Irish Setter at my feet, sipping my favorite Sour Mash and just enjoying life. But in actuality I wound up sprawled out in the alley in a dirty tee shirt, with alley cats sniffing me and a cheap vodka bottle empty beside me...

Funny thing about drinking.....(no comments Vance )......from teenage years to when I hit 40, I drank enough beer to fill Pitchy's motorboat pond.....stopped cold turkey for 17 years....then started again when I was about 58....and found my body don't like it, making me feel dumb brained..(no comments guys).......so....I have a two beer a day limit and my blood pressure dropped a mess more points.....Everything in moderation...except Winchesters and Colts.
Doc says "two cans of beer.....no more"......I just love those 24 oz. Fosters Premium Ales.....---6
With all my Irish and German ancestry, you would think I should like beer. I hate the taste. We all have our likes and dislikes.
A small amount of alcoholic beverages can be healthy for most if consumed in moderation. Most foods and beverages are best when in moderation.

I have a wine glass which holds an entire 750 ml bottle. That way, I can have only 1 glass.

I am an alcoholic and I worked hard at getting to this point so I am not ashamed to admit it... I have developed an actual addiction to rum..I can drink a pint or a quart every night and feel great in the morning but withdrawel symptoms begin 8 hrs after my last drink..My hands tremble at first and then by noon I am shaking all over uncontrollably...But have one stout drinky and I'm golden and steady again.........Monday I will have been sober for 2 weeks and by time my first offhand silhouette match comes up middle of this month I will be as steady as a pillar of granite.. I cannot drink alcohol during shooting match season and do well........Beer...I never touch that stuff...You'll wear your kidneys out trying to catch a good buzz.
