Talking of combination guns

Post by barbarossa »

I have a chance to pick up a krieghoff extra quality 22 mag barrel insert for the 12ga barrel of my savage 2400.The insert is 17 inches long and can be adjusted to the iron sights on the gun.Has anyone used one of these before.I already have a savage four tenner for it .

If the price isn't thru the "roof" I would jump on it. the makers name will always re-sell it. prolly for a profit.

Did you buy it, if so how does it shoot? I have had a few adapters made up for shotguns so far and really like using them. Todd/3leg
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

250 Savage... its what the 223 wishes it could be...!

Looking forward to your range report.

I have an 18 inch .45-70 rifled insert for my 12 ga barrel of my .22 hornet /12 ga Turkey gun. From the bench it will shoot 300 grain ammo to minute of deer and the report is muffled by the 26 inch shotgun barrel.

Now that sounds (no pun intended) interesting...

I'll keep that in mind for my 12ga/.222 Marocchi.
