All for taking care of yourself old boy, but I'm sure glad that statement is no longer totally true. Two new knees and a new shoulder have greatly improved my ability to "keep on moving" which is my primary way of taking care of myself. Granted that the replacement parts do not operate as well as the old ones when the old ones were not so old, but they are certainly a lot better than what those old parts had become...

Will one for a '38 work? Got a whole motor for that one.

Wait a minute, I don't think they make any Buicks in '44.

I am 79 years old and my Winchester 1892 rifle in the wonderful round 32WCFis 100 years old. It shoots as good and accurate as it did in 1954 when I bought it from my uncle. Praise the Lord I am still here to write this. After that heart trouble late this summer I didn't think would see my birthday in September.I

We drove up to New Hampshire 5 or 6 years ago and picked up all of an older gentlemans inventory he did the show circuit for many years and wanted to get rid of it all his mobility had about left him . He had 3 or 4 88's and the one that opened my eyes were the sixteen Winchester Model 100's of which about half were 284 . Wish I'd gotten one of the 284's but I'll live .

Relatively speaking I'm a spring chicken, i'll be 58 in a couple weeks though after 4 back surgeries none of them successful I feel 78. My last IME dropped my lifting limit from 25 pounds down to 10 pounds. I was hoping increase not decrease. Good thing none of my rifles weigh that much. Speaking of which... my 1921 vintage 1903 Springfield is my oldest firearm I own, almost 100 years old. Was made the same year my pops was born so easy to remember.

I just don't trust rebuilt parts as much as I do factory new. Although... the 1980 rebuild of my knee is still somewhat serviceable... tho' in recent weeks it's been acting up...

I just retired the first of July of this year. Worked for the Umatilla County (In Oregon) Sheriff's Office as a Civil Deputy (process server) for 17 years. I just turned 81. Went elk hunting this year, but was not successful. Maybe do better this next season. Looking forward to varmint hunting this coming spring, fly fishing for trout later on. I'm enjoying each day of my remaining years. I've outlived most all of the men in my family by at least 15 years. My secret to longevity? Hell, I don't know. Just luck I suppose.

My oldest gun is an 86 Winchester in 40-82 made in 1887, making it ~130 years old. It still sends lead downrange with class!

Unfortunately, doctors have told me they can't fix my knee, two orthopedic surgeons, and just told me to exercise  I got a 20 degree cam over.

But speaking of age I've been kinda looking for a Winchester 94 made in my birth year, '46...

No artificial parts here.....yet, but I'll be turning 61 this year so who knows. Oldest gun I have is a mid 1800's Leman percussion rifle that has been in the family for years. Next up after that are two Model of 1917 30-06's, both of which are 100 years old this year.

Pastor Jim, I'm only 58, but every dang time I walk into the Dr's office and sit down to wait my turn, when I look around, everybody else in there is about 25-30 years older than me. I'm thinking that isn't a real good sign....
