A Christmas moment in the desert
I couldn't bring myself to step on Pitchy's fin thread with this nightmare. You may want to avert your eyes, friends, but I had to get a little sun after more than six decades in the Christmas rain of the Pacific Northwest.

That is just great, plenty of sunshine and all that good Mexican food any place you stop. When we used to go to Yuma to see our daughter we really enjoyed the food all the way across New Mexico

Re: A Christmas moment in the desert
Bill,
I'm enjoying the Oregon December Rain here in the Willamette Valley. Hills and mountains beginning to
fill up with snow, making my grandchildren happy for ski season. Lived in Ethiopia and went through a
serious 3 year time without much rain at all. So many people suffered, still do there in the Eastern
part of Ethiopia. Still thankful for the rain here in Oregon, it must be in my DNA.
God bless you in the New Year, enjoy.

Re: A Christmas moment in the desert
Gordon, I am not missing the seemingly endless rain of a Willamette Valley winter -- yet. But I admit I am still getting used to a December so dry that I get nosebleeds -- and have to remember to water the plants!
Re: A Christmas moment in the desert
I moved to So. Oregon 10 years ago from So. CA and don't think I've dried out yet! I see Bill is sporting his "Oregon tan"...
(when we first arrived in OR my wife mentioned "the white girls here in Oregon really are white!".

I`ve burned up a third of my wood pile already so I wouldn`t mind being a neighbor Bill.
