Glad to see you back. By the way, that Super Blackhawk you sold to me has helped introduce another person to the fun of handguns. A young lady whom I worked with found out that shooting is fun. She is in school now to become an RN. She tried that .44 Mag the last time at the range and had a lot of fun with it. Her Dad wants to go shooting now. Trying to coordinate schedules.

Brian - It is good to hear that the .44 is being used, appreciated and doing good work.

How is the .44 carbine doing - shot any deer with it?

To OS
My SB came to me in the estate of my older brother complete with scope, holsters and ammo. I shot pistol targets with it and then decided that my ,357 arsenal better suited me and then sold my SB and Ruger auto carbine to another lever gunner. He seems to be making good use of it.

BTW, I followed your suggestion on campaigning my 1895 .405 and am still at it. With luck I will take it and my .405 double back to Africa soon. Meanwhile I am practicing on hogs and exotics. :)

I didn't get a chance to hunt any this fall. My work schedule changes week to week, and I don't get my schedule sent to me far enough in advance to plan anything. The range trips are planned less than a day ahead.

Piller,
Same here WRT too busy to go hunting this season.
However, I am planning a hog hunt at the Boars Nest in late February and will copy you on the announcement when the date is confirmed.

crs, the 1895 in .405, truly an iconic gun. Interested to see the Big Medicine return to the Dark Continent. Closest I have is this other 1895 in 45-70.

That should give me enough time to request a vacation day. It sure was fun last time. I think the Ruger carbine needs to go again.
