The phrase "thrutch" is a locally universally understood term describing power or strength.
Well many a 410 load over here in Britain are soft loaded to cater for many a weak action and barrel.
So when a friend put me on to a strong 1/2oz load by NSI (Nobel sport Italia) I was keen to try them and to my surprise they remind me of my strong reloads on h110 or 2400. I am very impressed so far.

Were some of those weak 410s called Garden Guns? I saw a really ornate Garden Gun on an episode of Poirot and have been curious ever since.
"Garden gun" may have been used as a term for small .410s, but most of the time I have seen the term applied to little 9mm Flobert shotguns. I actually have one, a Winchester Model 36, which I have never fired, although the ammo is still available.

Yes, some would also collect little birds much like some collected butterflies. Only the bird collectors used light 410 guns instead of a net.
I loaded up a few 410's to try the other day, powder bushing is supposed to throw 12.5-13 gr of little gun, more like 14.5-15! I made up 4 shells, 2 Remington 2 Winchester3" hulls. Tried them out yesterday, those Remington's were HOT! I really noticed a difference. Gotta wait until my 'new' bushings show up-those had THRUTCH! Thanks again Tim!!

Local terms can sure sound funny to those far away.
"Let's blow this popsicle stand" is a local term from where I grew up. It means the same as the Army term "Un-A** the A O".
We usually said that something had oomph when it was powerful.
