Round lead balls worked for a long time before jacketed bullets became available. It is obvious that they still work when used as intended.

yup. I didn't catch the weight of the cannonball, does anyone know?
love the camera shot thru the engine and out the back.
It might have been iron. I didn't pay attention to that. I guess I need to go back and pay a little more attention.
Watched it again. I didn't hear it mentioned what the material was. Cannon have been used with almost any projectile and material that was handy during a battle.
