Amazing....who'd'a thunk...?

Maybe this is why Gabby Giffords wants to ban muzzleloaders.....

And there was actually an idiot congressman on Fox news that wants these banned. He thinks it is the perfect tool for a mass murderer. :o
He was interviewed by Tucker Carlson. Carlson mostly just laughed at him.

Do you reckon he could reload 2 shots per minute?? At 2 shots a minute his target would to be in an old folks home to get enough to call it mass murder.

The comment about the perfect weapon for mass murder reminds me of the truest line in Forrest Gump...STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES. Really can you be elected to some office and be that stupid? Aaarrrgggh!

Really can you be elected to some office and be that stupid? Aaarrrgggh!

A couple of talking points of elected official's that I remember are!

1 Some official stating that magazines are just a one time affair! Once they are empty the are used up! Sooo let just make the sale of them illegal instead of banning them. They would soon all be used up and gone

1 I cannot remember if it was a senator or congress woman! Asked a high ranking military officer at a congressional or senate hearing , if he was worried about all the US troops on, I think it was Guam, capsizing the island  His reply was, that thought had never occurred to him.

Yes they can be that stupid

I think the ONLY one that would not know where the shot came from, might be the shooter. :D

I recall reading the builders went to great length to ensure that this tool was exempt from the suppressed rifle tax stamp requirements, and legal anywhere muzzleloading firearms were legal. They advertised this proudly.

It took very little time for several states to ban them explicitly, by name, and by type. New Jersey comes immediately to mind, but I am sure there were others.

I wonder about Hawaii. Would be great for feral hogs.

I've got a relatively young gunsmith friend here in VA that built himself a ML along the same lines as the kinda new Remington Ultimate ML and he has it suppressed . I don't remember if he's using smokeless in his or not but I do know he killed a hammer of a Whitetail buck with it about two weeks ago .
