I stopped by a shop I haven't been to in awhile looking for nothing in particular and hanging on the wall was a brad new GSG 9mm MP40.
I've been looking at them since they came out and just wanted something that made me smile.
I don't think I've ever gone through 50 rounds of 9mm so fast in my life and grinning the entire time.
Anyway, didn't even bother with a target, just chased some rocks around the backstop on this cloudy 27 degree afternoon.
Little bugger worked perfectly and was an absolute blast.

Yeah, it got me too! Really makes me want to go watch some "Combat" re-runs!
It's made by GSG/ German Sporting Guns and Imported by ATI. They're all over Gunbroker right now, but I'd imagine that just about any shop could order one for you. The guy that the store I got mine from said they go out as fast as they come in. So far the only place I can find spare mags is on the GSG website. There's also a note on there that they are working on an under folding stock kit for those that would want to pursue an SBR license/stamp.

30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres
250 Savage... its what the 223 wishes it could be...!

Mind if I ask what it weighs?
Web site says just under 8 pounds. It s pretty weighty. There is a lot of steel in this one. The grip frame and trigger guard is plastic but the rest is steel.

I feel the same way about Israeli made Uzi's......only model A's.........I have a Lee 6 cavity mould that makes a bucket full of bullets in an afternoon and with brass being free for me, I load up and shoot at least 3-4 hundred while at the gunclub...and leave the brass there.------6
Very nice!
My son has a Sig of similar function and I get to shoot it next week while he is trying out my new Springfield XDe 9 .
The XDe 9 is my new 9 mm concealed carry pistol and it has all the features of my full sized S&W M39 plus a loaded chamber indicator and ambi safety/decocker, and mag release. It required no retraining and can be used interchangeably with the 39. Like the 39, it is an accurate shooter.
Jason,
The MP-40 is a gun with nice clean lines......they were in about every movie or tv show back in the 60's.......what did you give for it..ballpark is ok.....I'm gonna ask my bud to get some of those in....he has one but..but....you know, the expensive one for 20 g's....---6
