Optics sales at Cabela's

Post by 2ndovc »

They have been having some pretty good ones lately. I bought a Vortex Spitfire red/Green dot scope yesterday at 50% off. I've been wanting to put an Aimpoint on my MPX since I got it. I'll get one eventually, but so far I really like this one and the MPX has become one of my favorites.

Anyway, I wanted to get it sighted in(ish) with a quick stop at the range. I ran through a cheap box of Tula 115s and had to get back to my office. Nice day to have lunch out in the sticks. :D .

I don't yet have anything by Vortex, but that is only because I knew nothing about them when I bought my last scope. On my hunt in Poland, the guide used a Vortex scope and it was much better than my Nikon. Next scope I buy will be a Vortex.

This is my second one so far and I'm pretty impressed. I put one of their scout scopes on my M1A and it's been great so far.
The lifetime warranty doesn't hurt either.

I have an Aimpoint PRO on one of my rifles and I recently helped a buddy sight in a Vortex StrikefireII. I like the Strikefire better and it is less than 1/2 the money.

I'll have to look at those. You're the second person to mention the StrikeFire to me.
