Re: Ipad recomendtions
I don't know about I-Pads, but I do know that buying used electronics is a crapshoot. In fact, one of my friends bought a brand-new I-Pad in an Apple Store a year or so ago, and it burned out its power supply in about two weeks. It was under warranty, of course -- but he had to send it off to California for warranty repair and it took 4 months to get it back!

Pitchy, these what you're asking about.
If so, I like 'em.

Hope that works out for you Lenn.
The kids bought me an Ipad mini last year and it works great, my sister has a Kindle and is very happy with it.

I have a Kindle Fire Pitchy. No idea what version but I use it while sitting in my recliner. Last evening I read most of a book on Germanic people on it. Works for me. (I'm 41% German)

I tried to do what your doing. I ended up getting an Apple IPad for $240. Tough and reliable. Went Florida and back this winter and every where I stopped could get free wifi. Todd3/leg
