Side note:
My mother was a teacher for 40+ years and she always treated the janitors as important members of the school staff. While other "more educated" teachers would look down on "someone who pushed a broom for a living"... My mother knew & remembered their birthdays, knew all their kids and wives names, and treated them like the great people they were. Guess who had the cleanest rooms in the school?!
Reminds me of another shy, quiet janitor I encountered while a student at the University of Oregon. But Ray DeAutremont was a public figure for entirely different reasons.
That story is a perfect example of why we should treat everyone with respect, regardless of what we think their position in life is. Whether a janitor won the Medal of Honor or not, they deserve the same respect anyone does! Great story #7!
I read that story quite a few times, always get smoke in my eyes from it. Todd3/leg
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres
250 Savage... its what the 223 wishes it could be...!
