Woo! Just woke from a coma, I was wiped out. Gotta drive through a lotta crazy to get down here.
Kristy and I want to thank our friends, Jack and Janice, for their hospitality. They opened their beautiful home to a couple weary travelers. We had a great time, and would have liked to spend more, but my wife has a sick aunt down this way and it kinda upended our plans.
I was some glad I brought the truck, ole Six wanted to see how much it would haul by filling it with primo goodies.
When he started piling first generation Colts and pre-war Winchesters in I drew the line. I mean, I'd love to try and find a good home for that stuff, but I just ain't got time.
Serious though, Jack had my stuff all set aside, as promised. Gave me a deal that made me feel guilty.
Sorry we had to cut it shorter than we wanted, my friend. We will definitely be back down though.
Goes without saying, if you guys ever get up to Maine, our door is open any time. Our kind gotta stick together.
Thanks again, bud.
P.S.
I got to see and touch Pitchy's creation of Ole Six in steel.
The man is a master. It's easy to see Jack was touched by this gift. Beautiful work Pitchy. You did a good thing.
"Oh bother", said Pooh, as he chambered another round.
