Browning BL22 now $449….

…after rebate at CDNN in case anyone is looking for one. The ad mentions that the receiver is "machined steel". The BL22 was discussed here a couple of weeks ago.

It was I who mentioned that it was not a solid steel reliever...I discovered this by looking at the BL-22 schematic when I was ordering spare parts and used a magnet to verify what I discovered, made me sad. If you look at the schematic you'll see that a metal cover comes off a aluminum receiver (similar to a Henry .22 lever) So I sold the BL-22 and kept the Henry .22cal levergun... :)
